Why and how we process your data
We collect and process your data when you make a registration or a ticket purchase with us.
When you register for our events, you agree that the event/conference will use your name, title and the company you represent to print your badge which is used to identify yourself at the event. When you arrive at the event, we need to scan your badge/QR code in order to grant you access to the event. When you are at the event, exhibitors, sponsors, speakers or other parties may ask to scan your badge. These people will then have access to your personal data (name, email) and will become independent data controllers for this data. You decide for yourself whether you want to let someone scan your badge/name tag and thereby provide information to third parties.
What we share
We will not share your information to any third party unless you explicitly consent to it. You are provided the opportunity to share your information with individual exhibitors/sponsors/partners at the conference by letting them scan your attendee badge or give explicit consent during your registration process.
When you visit one of our events/conferences, we process your personal data mainly for the following purposes:
– To register and administer your registration for the event
– To communicate with you before and during the event, e.g. to send you information
– To send you information about our future events that we think you may be interested in
When you have registered for one of our events/conferences, our communication to you will include:
– A confirmation via email, text message or push notification
– Any invoice via email (if needed)
– Email with information as well as newsletters (if consented) and marketing about the event/conference and about similar events/conferences that we think you may be interested in.
Online services
Nordic Summit use a Mobile (web) application (app.nordicsummit.info) to present our ticket holders and attendees with information about the agenda and allow the attendee to “build” their own agenda. What we store is your favorited sessions, sessions you have provided feedback to and your feedback, together with your attendee profile for up to two years. Data collected is a combination of required (name, email, telephone number, employer, demographic information) information and not-required information (role, dietary restrictions).
It is not mandatory to use the mobile application, and you will get access to the event with your ticket alone. When you use the mobile application you pick a “login provider” through Azure B2C services, such as creating an account, using your social media accounts. A link between your chosen method and your user account will be stored so you can log in with the same methods.
Payment services
All payments are processed through our ticket payment method (Stripe). When buying a ticket we collect basic information about you (name, email, company) in order to identify our core demographics and identify you as a ticket/seat holder at the day of event. When a payment is processed, your information is stored in our event system, handling all attendee data stored within the EU.
Security Services
On this website, we use the offer of security service providers such as Captcha services to avoid non-human and automated input.
Google reCAPTCHA
If you give your consent, we will process your personal data in cooperation with the service Google reCaptcha, Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland as joint controllers for the purpose of avoidance of non human and automatized inputs. We will enable the service to set third-party cookies, to collect connection data and data of your web browser. Furthermore, we enable the service to build a personal user-ID to conclusively identify the user within the scope of the advertising network operated by Youtube / Google. The data will be stored on your device for up to two years.
The legal basis of the processing is your consent according to Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR. A failure to give consent will have the effect of not being able to use reCaptcha or the connected forms.
Analysis Services
WP Statistics
We use the local analysis software WP-Statistics to process your data for the purpose of troubleshooting, failure analysis and statistical analysis and to identify measures for the sophistication of our website. This service is a local analysis tool so that no personal data are transferred to the service provider or to third parties. Furthermore, your personal data are anonymized immediately after such data were collected. Personal data are therefore not stored beyond initial processing. The legal basis of processing is the legitimate interest (absolute technical necessity to provide and to deliver the “website” service which you have explicitly requested by visiting the website according to Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
