In our previous story posts about Nordic Summit 2022, we’ve had the privilege of hearing from attendees and speakers who traveled from different parts of the world to experience this community-driven event. Today, we bring you a participant story that takes us from Oslo, Norway to the Nordic Summit in Stockholm.
About our guest
Let’s welcome our guest Thomas Eriksbakken to this blog!
Thomas is a Microsoft Dynamics 365 consultant with a background from large companies such as Capgemini and Sopra Steria. Before beginning his career in Dynamics 365 in 2020, he worked at Tidal as a CRM manager in-house. Recently he has been working with both Power Platform and Dynamics 365 and combining the best of these worlds to meet the customers’ expectations.
Nordic Summit 2022
Even though Thomas traveled from Norway, he did not travel alone. He was with a group of consultants from Sopra Steria that attended the event. The company sent a group of consultants so that they could bond together and get a common understanding of the technology. They had a great time and have planned to attend the 2023 Summit as well.
There were many good sessions at the Nordic Summit, but the one that Thomas wants to highlight is “So you want to be a Solution Architect” by Mark Christie.
Thomas mentioned that Mark’s session was fitting for his current position, and there are always great learnings from other perspectives. Another thing he brought up was that he thought it was good that the Nordic Summit had a mix of technical and soft skills that matched his profile well.
Overall event experience
We asked Thomas about his overall Nordic Summit 2022 experience.
I had a great time. The event was filled with interesting topics delivered by highly knowledgeable people across lots of different technology areas.
Thomas also mentioned he was also very happy about the catering and food during the day!
Spare time and fun fact
Fun fact about Thomas is that his brother is the nr# charting Hip-Hop artist in Norway! When asked if the music flowed in the family and the hopes for a duo, he smiled and indicated that it might be a stretch 😊
On his spare time Thomas enjoys watching movies and reading Sci-fi books. It’s an interest he has had since he was young.
Build a flow live or eat 50 marshmallows?
Like all our guests Thomas was asked if he would rather build a Power Automate cloud flow live on stage or eat 50 marshmallows? His answer to that question was “Bring on the marshmallows!!”. Very quick answer from Thomas! Guess we should have had a follow up question to how many marshmallows he can eat at one time?
