The organizing team behind Nordic Summit 2025 was a truly cross-border effort, a collaboration of passionate individuals from across the Nordic countries. Every year we come together not just to plan a community driven conference, but to build something meaningful for our community. A place where the Nordic people (and international guests 🌎) can meet and exchanges ideas and experiences. ✨

Structure for Clarity

We organize ourselves into sub-teams, each focused on a specific area of planning the conference. Roles are assigned based on interest, curiosity, and the desire to try something new. Some of us return to the same area year after year, refining what we love. Others switch, to explore new challenges and perspectives.

Here’s a glimpse into how we structure the work:

  • Core team: Ultimately responsible for the conference as a whole, our strategy and vision forward.
  • Content & Agenda: Manages session content, speaker communication, and the agenda.
  • Venue & Volunteers: Researches and visits venue options, handles offers and logistics, and organizes the volunteer’s work.
  • Tech & Tickets: Runs the website, event app, registration, and check-in systems.
  • Sponsors: Making sure we have enough sponsors to host the event and supports all sponsoring tasks.
  • Economy: Keeps us aligned with sponsor support and event costs to reach our budget
  • Marketing & Communication: Drives brand awareness, and content for blog and social media and overall communication.

This structure gives us some clarity, but it’s the people and their passion that make it work. Each year we try to see what we could do better, and if there are new areas or initiatives we need to try out, all to make Nordic Summit even better!

The Organizing Team 2025

Our organizing team can change from year to year, this year the team was made up by the following members:

Denmark: Magnus Gether Sørensen and Vivian Voss.
Finland: Antti Pajunen and Terho Antila.
Norway: Guro Faller, Malin Martnes, Thomas Sandsør and Ulrikke Akerbæk.
Sweden: Benedikt Bergmann, Carina Claesson, Gustaf Westerlund, Jonas Rapp and Kathrine Hogseth.

Ideas that Grow

Some ideas remain from year to year, some ideas pop up. Sometimes long before the event, sometimes not so long before. Doing interviews during the event day is something that has evolved in our organization during the years. This year it came with a branded microphone 🎤 and lots of fun conversations! Stay tuned! 📽️

The idea of introducing speed mentoring is an example of an idea that popped up not so long before the event. Some of the organizers experienced the concept at DynamicsMinds in May. That planted a seed. Over the summer, it grew into something we wanted to bring to Nordic Summit 2025. 🌱

Speaker mentoring is another area that we work with each year. This has been run as a separate initiative over the last few years, helping fostering new speaking talent and we most offer mentoring for new speakers and have a match-making process during the call for speakers period.

Do you have any suggestions and seeds for us to take into account and water until next year´s event?
