Today’s story spotlights one of our colourful and creative Nordic Summit 2024 volunteers. By day, she’s an HR Architect, by night, she proudly calls herself the Chief Creative Mess Officer. Say hello to Ana Inés Urrutia de Souza!

About Ana
Originally from Uruguay, Ana has lived in Montevideo, Lima, Madrid, and now calls Zurich home.
She’s known across the community as a go-to expert in all things Dynamics 365 HR and for her colourful, creative spirit. Throughout the year, you’ll find her speaking at conferences, blogging, creating videos, and serving on event committees (especially in content curation). Mentoring is a big part of her community work as well. In her own words this is what she does more:
“And of course… learning :)”
Thank you, Ana, for all that you do for the community!
Fun facts
Ana has been an artist since childhood, drawn to creativity in many forms. She once dreamed of becoming a fashion designer and later even started her own handmade leggings business in high school. Whether it’s crafting digital designs or physical gifts, she brings bold colour and creativity to everything she touches.
Favorite part of the platform
When we asked Ana about her favourite part of the Power Platform and Dynamics 365, we expected her to mention the HR side of things. But instead, she surprised us with a very enthusiastic answer:
“AI Hub, 10000000%! It helps in so many ways that it’s just amazing to work with.”
Nordic Summit 2024
Ana joined Nordic Summit 2024 as a volunteer, supporting the organization team. She took charge of one of the session rooms, making sure everything ran smoothly and on schedule.
Her favourite parts of the event?
The vibe, honestly. The location was great and everything was really well organised, but it was the people that made it special. There was this sense of ease and openness — even if you arrived not knowing anyone, you didn’t feel out of place. I had some amazing conversations between sessions, just bumping into people and ending up talking about tech, career stuff, or completely random life topics.
But the real highlight for me was a dinner with other speakers and volunteers. I wasn’t expecting much — just a nice evening — and I ended up sitting with a group of people I didn’t know, who are now actual friends. And the best part? We didn’t just talk about tech. We talked about where we come from, our backgrounds, what brought us here. I’m from what many people would call the middle of nowhere — and making others guess where I’m originally from is always fun. We did the same with others, trying to guess their stories. It was such a nice way to connect beyond roles and job titles.
I genuinely loved getting to know new people. Events aren’t just about learning new tools or platforms — they’re also about finding future collaborators, session partners, workshop co-hosts… and sometimes just good humans to share a laugh with. And if you can meet those people while sharing a proper meal? That’s tip top.
Thank you so much, Ana, for supporting our event with such passion and for being today’s guest on our blog! 🤗
